QuickDial Setup Guide - Windows Me
The following instructions describe how to create a new dial-up connection to QuickDial.
- Click the "Windows Start Menu" and click "Settings"
- Click "Dial-up Networking"
- Double click the "Make New Connection" icon
- A dialogue box will open which will welcome you to the "Network Connection Wizard". Click "Next"
- Type in "QuickDial" as the name for your new connection and select your modem from the "Select a device" drop down list and click "Next"
- Type in 0845 123 2424 into the "Telephone number" box (leave area code blank)
- Select "United Kingdom" from the "Country or region" drop down list and click "Next"
- Click "Finish"
- To use your new QuickDial Internet connection double click the "QuickDial" icon
- Type in your username (e.g. barnsdesigns) and your password (e.g. quickdial) and select the "Save password" box and click "Connect"
To use your new QuickDial Internet connection, click the "Windows Start Menu", click "Settings", click "Dial-up Networking" and double click the "QuickDial" icon.
