QuickDial Setup Guide - Mac OS 9

The following instructions describe how to create a new dial-up connection to QuickDial.
  • Click the "Apple" icon at the top left of the screen and click "Internet Access" and then "Internet Setup Assistant"
  • Select "Yes" to "Would you like to set up your iMac to access the Internet?"
  • Select "Yes" to "Do you already have an Internet account?"
  • On the next screen press the forward arrow which is located at the bottom right of the window ("Next")
  • Type in "QuickDial" as the name for your new configuration. You are also asked if you are using a modem
  • On the next screen, type in 0845 123 2424 for the phone number.
  • Type in your username (e.g. quickdial) and your password (e.g. quickdial) and click "Next"
  • Select "No" for the "PPP Connection Script" and click "Next"
  • Select "No" for the "IP Address" and click "Next"
  • Leave all fields on the "Domain Name Servers" screen blank and click "Next"
  • Click through the following screens until you reach the "Conclusion" page
  • On the "Conclusion" screen click "Go Ahead"
To use your new QuickDial connection, click on the "Safari" or "Internet Explorer" icon in the dock located at the bottom of your screen.
